One-Sheet-Mode

Overview

This application is designed to automatically create tilesheets from individual or Group JPG and PNG images.

To use it, simply place your images into the designated TargetImageFolder. When the application’s .exe file is launched, it will start a local web server on port 7000 and automatically  build your tilesheet with your set images.

How It Works

The application searches the TargetImageFolder for images that contain a transparent background. It is designed to recognize individual, standalone images or group images apart from one another.

It does not remove or extract objects from photographs or other images. In other words, the program will not attempt to cut a character, object, or item out of a larger picture. The image itself must already have a transparent background. Every Image becomes one tilesheet

Once suitable images are detected, the application processes them and creates a very large tilesheet in the following sizes:

• 32 × 32
• 64 × 64
• 128 × 128

A sample is included with the application to demonstrate how the process works and give you a better idea of the expected results.

Advanced Version

This is the advanced version of the application, It will in fact  save hundreds of hours of work for anyone who regularly creates tilesheets from large collections of images.

I intentionally did not include a 16 × 16 option because reducing most images to that size causes significant distortion and loss of detail. The 32 × 32 size generally provides a much better balance between image size and visual quality.

The goal of this application is to make the repetitive process of creating tilesheets faster, easier, and more automated.

Warning and Usage

1. Windows 10 only. 

2. Particles will be detected and made as tiles 

3. Nothing else running on Port 7000
